All about following ones dreams to make life meaningful. In my case, the dream was to get advanced degree in the US and then return to Nepal to help the next generation of children from low socioeconomic backgrounds, which is what I have done.
The embedded video is that of the presentation I gave at Thames International College in Kathmandu. I talked about dreams, humanity, compassion, international understanding, peace and making life meaningful to a small auditorium full of students doing their undergraduate studies in Social Work.
The power and privilege of education, the power of compassion & humanity, and how what I am doing now is in line with the UWC mission and values of international understanding and world peace.
Just a basic education had been in the cards! But determined to get more, much much more than that which I was told I was "entitled" to, I would have an incredible academic career!
