We have individuals in positions of authority who believe that images of Gods, Godesses and other religious figures can solve our problems with open defecation and urination in an area. How else do you explain what you see next to the Department of Passport on Kantipath, in Kathmandu?

The cave dwellings and secret temples are some of the cultural heritages of Mustang district, the district I am from. A National Geographic team explored and studied some of those caves earlier this century. Embedded within the blog post are videos of those expeditions into the caves.
Driving on the highways of Nepal is a dangerous proposition for a number of reasons. One of the reasons is that traffic in the country is ridiculously out of control.
In spite of that, two weeks ago, I took a road trip, hitting the highways of the country, for the first time!
Will the government of Nepal also go down a road they have never been? Namely, rein in and manage the out-of-control traffic and curve the high level of fatalities on the roads and highways of the country?
