Modeling Atoms: When You Don’t Have Much, Make Creative Use of The Little You Do

READING TIME: < 1 minute

The first time I suggested using their own students to model atoms, I was working with Namrata Miss at Jana Uddhar. I know she did it because my mate Pete, who manages the school, had made a record of it on his phone!

Anyway, I had another teacher at a different public school I was working with last year also do the same. This time, I was there when she did it and so was able to make a record of it myself.

And here it is!

There are numerous little changes we need to make in the way we teach in Nepal. One such small change is to stop getting the students to respond to questions in unison as you heard in the video. We also need to stop making kids study by reading aloud their textbooks or notes.

What do you think?
