For this part of the procedure you will need your Reebop Lab Report
Pick out all the mum’s genes and lay them facing down on the table in
one location and all the dad’s genes separate from the mum’s randomly.
Now to bred the reebop, have someone from another group come and pick up
one rectangle (gene) from the mum and another rectangle of the same size
(gene controlling the same trait in dad) and then turn it over.
You are replicating the random manner in which genes combine when a an
offspring a new life is generated.
The combination of the gene obtained is the genotype for a trait of the
Reebop. Record the gene pair (genotype) of the Reebop in the Lab Report
Have that person repeat step 2 until you have seven pairs of genes for
the Reebop and have recorded the genotype for all the traits.
Next, determine the phenotype for each of the trait and fill in the last
column of the lab report sheet. UNLESS THIS IS COMPLETE YOU WILL NOT BE
ALLOWED TO MOVE ON TO THE NEXT STEP!
